RetroPI - Errors at Launch

Thu May 14, 2015 8:25 am

Hello Raspberry pi users,

I recently wanted to transform my rpi into a retro console, and so I installed retro pi.

Did everything correctly, wrote the image to the sd card,etc...

And it started displaying these errors:mmcblk0 error -110 transferring data[...]
So i rewrote the image, fresh install.... it worked once, and I had fun with the apple II.But upon restarting,it displayed this error.

Any Help would be appreciated :D

P.S = I am such a noob at linux distros and kernels, and used it only for my servers.so please be more "gentle" on the explanation :D

Try another SD card. Be sure to shut down cleanly (don't just power off), to prevent corrupting the SD card.

It sounds like your card has issues. You might try blowing out the connector (don't use your mouth, use an air can or an air compressor) and check the contacts on the card for lint or flecks of dust/paper, etc.
