This is just a multicore software renderer. For better performance one should use glshim, which works in a similar way but uses the Pi's GPU to reach almost full speed. It's free, too.

It's still nice to see new software renderers coming up, competition is always good.

Very good news. I'm reading some about glshim. Its like openg 1.x emulator for opengl es 1.x....

OpenGL 1.4 is pretty low. If it was 4.4 then it would be better, but still software renderer is pretty much useless, unless you are debugging something.

And SuperTuxKart recently upgraded its engine to OpenGL 3.1+ (yet it's still bit old in terms of look and feel). Not to mention that for example Unreal Engine 4 is free for non-commercial games :)

riklaunim: this will never exceed opengl 1.4, that would need a full rewrite, which i am not interested in. opengl isnt a big business any more, i just release the renderer on new and new platforms, fixing some bugs, etc, but i will not rewrite it. there is not a big demand on opengl above 1.4 aniway. most software still uses 1.1 aniway.

Your whole project is pretty pointless then :-(

And since you are stuck at 1.4 I can't see why anyone would want to !
