Minecraft crashes every time I launch it with Optifine

Fri May 07, 2021 5:13 pm

I downloaded minecraft java through pi-apps on my pi4 using the standard raspberry pi os. The game will launch fine from the non-optifine profile. It was pretty slow, so I downloaded optifine following this tutorial:

viewtopic.php?f=78&t=303557&p=1817724&h ... e#p1817724

It crashes when I try to launch it, so i tried versions 1.16.1 to 1.16.5, but its the same with each one. Crash report says this:

I've been looking around for information on LWJGL, but I can't find anything for using it with a pi. I'm relatively new to programming, so if this is way simpler than I'm making it out to be, sorry! Thanks in advance! :D

Go onto the minecraft launcher and if the profile is selected as "OptiFine" change it to one with your minecraft account name on. Click "Edit Profile", then "Use Version" and select the OptiFine version you want to use.
I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

My friend finally came to the conclusion that Raspberry Pi's are small.
