Raspberry 4 & minecraft server?

Mon Jul 01, 2019 7:10 am

Hi everyone,

Since Java8 is no longer supported with Raspbian Buster, do you have a tutorial to install a MC server on Raspi 4?

You might have to wait until there is a 64bit OS for the Pi4

You can download Oracle Java8 and install it :

or my Minecraft install does this for you:

Hi - have you got this working? If so, how does it run? I'm very interested in getting this running but can't afford to buy an RPi only for it to not work..

Thanks!

Hey, so I have my server up and running on my Pi 4, so far runs pretty great. I’ve had no connection issues, Ram issues, or power issues yet. The only problem I can see arising is that I can’t seem to get more than 2GB to allocate for the server. Basically, when I run the java file, I can only specify up to 2000 MB using the Xmx modifier. Anything passed that and I get an error. Anyone else having this issue?
I’m running Raspbian stretch with a spigot server.
