Minecraft: Pi Edition is based on Minecraft: Pocket Edition, which, as far as I can tell, doesn't support texture packs.

I could well be wrong, though, but that's my understanding of why it wouldn't work.

You can do it. I'm ever so slightly too lazy to find the exact thread but there is a forum on the Minecraft Forums solely for the Pi Edition. It's good to search the entire forum though as there is a lot of information including a patch tool that does not use java and some pretty cool mods.

Oh, this is so simple...

open up your home directory (/home/pi)
find the mcpi folder
go into it
go to data
go to images
delete all thats there
copy and paste all the contents from the texture pack to the folder

Simples! :D

PS: I might release my olde worldy texture pack soon, keep an eye on my site!

Do not do what I said! Do not replace the GUI folder or any of the terrain files

Umm yea...

its been said that it wont work already but - Minecraft pi has only just started (in a sense)
and you can't actually play it in survival, there are no mobs, and its only 1.2

I can hardly expect a texture pack at the basic level mcpi is at.

but thats my pessimistic view!

well, you could do that, because that is how it works for MCPE. You would have to save the original files in a separate folder to keep them safe. Hope it helps!!! :D :D :D :D :D
Yo, I don't have a Pi, but I've done LOTS of research!

As far as I know, we do not have an official android OS, and we are not the minecraft pocket edition forum. You need to rephrase your question so that we can understand you better.
