Sun Mar 10, 2019 9:17 am

Simon Walters' excellent Physical Computing add-on for Scratch, ScratchGPIO, is now available for Scratch 3.0. :D :D

If anyone wants to give it a try, you can install it from http://simplesi.net/s3gpio/ .

If you have any questions about it, you can contact Simon via his blog or on Twitter @cymplecy

Will this work on Scratch 3.0 offline? Or only scratch.mit.edu?
My doctor told me my brain is as useful as a Raspberry Pi. Is that a compliment?

According to the website S3GPIO is for the online version of Scratch 3.0 using the Chrome browser.

The Scratch 3.0 offline version was specifically developed for the Raspberry Pi and includes extensions for several things including GPIO. This extension is called "Raspberry Pi GPIO". To load this extension:
• Make sure Code tab is selected
• Select button on the bottom left of Scratch window
• Select "Raspberry Pi GPIO"
• The new code blocks for this will be added at the bottom of the existing code block list

There is another extension called "Raspberry Pi Simple Electronics"

Note that none of the extensions are loaded by default.
