Looking into getting into Scratch for me and my six year old, can anyone suggest the best place to start?:-)

If you're looking at regular Scratch 2.0 then the best place to start is https://codeclubprojects.org/en-GB/scratch/

If you're more interested on using Scratch on the Pi to control the gpio pins, then https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/pro ... th-scratch

You don’t need to do anything to get Scratch since it is already installed on your Pi. Both versions in fact - the 1.4 version with the built in gpioserver and the newer but slower version 2 that I personally dislike because of the whole Flash thing.

To learn about using it you can find a boatload of stuff via google but possibly the most immediately useful would be the Magpi guide which you can get by going to the MagPi section of this very site and downloading the pdf version for free.
