Sensing Block in Scratch 2.0

Mon Jan 29, 2018 10:13 am

Hi,

I have been using Scratch 1.4 which has a 'sensor value' block which you can then enable remote sensor connections and then pass messages between Python and Scratch.

However I am now using 2.0 and it doesn't have this, does anyone know if this is by design or something I am missing in the config?

Cheers

Hello,
scratch2 is using extensions, which are written in javascript and provide additional blocks controlling the hardware.

With scratchClient it is possible to connect hardware to scratch1.4 or scratch2. See http://heppg.de/ikg/wordpress/?page_id=6 for download.

Hope this helps,
Gerhard
