Broadcom released the full source-code

Thu Jul 17, 2014 9:21 pm

So I've just read that Broadcom has released the full source-code and documentation for the Raspberry Pi's hardware, if a very kind and awesome developer would use this to re-write the Android graphics-stack and help port Android fully to the Raspberry Pi that would be amazing :D so all hope is not lost :3 I'm new to these Forums in fact I only joined a few minutes before I posted this topic :)

That;s a pretty old post, but valid. Using the data it would be possible to improve the Android port. I expect someone out there is doing exactly that, but I don't know where.

The one guy who was working on android has gone missing. Others show up once in a while, poke around a little and move on. I guess anyone who is capable of it has better things to be doing.

Before posting in exitement best to check previous posting as the news was released in February and there has been several Android Discussions / Regurgitations since then.

Android will only happen when someone will develop and maintain a stable release, if you wish to do so I expect you would be very popular
