mmal_component_create_core: could not find component 'vc.ril

Hi,
I have implemented own HAL layer for the camera in Android gingerbread,
But while calling camera_create_component its failing.
here is log for error

Code: Select all

E/mmal    ( 1409): mmal_component_create_core: could not find component 'vc.ril.camera'
E/mmal    ( 1409): Failed to create camera component

What is missing.? Why i am getting component error.

Is this on a Raspi? Have you linked in all the libraries normally linked in to raspistill?

if you compiled against glibc it won't work, you will need to include static libs
