Raspberry pi Gingerbread Camera HAL implementation

Hi everyone,
for enabling camera in android i have to write my own HAL,
So can anyone help me from where should i start.?
currently i am following this link http://source.android.com/devices/camera/camera.html.

Which file should i look to write my own HAL code. camera service will be calling specific API that should be present in HAL.
From where i can get those specific API's that as to be implemented.

You can try to use MMAL - but there is nearly zero documentation on it.

Of course , the foundations camera apps might be useful as example code ...

What you are attempting is a difficult job, requiring quite a bit of Android experience. You can use the raspistill/vid apps as examples for the MMAL aide of things, but it's going to be a long job.
