Ok now i get the correct sha1sum value:

Image

Not sure what to do now
Flash the uncompressed image
Won’t let me:
Image

Edit: I flashed it using

Code: Select all

blkid /dev/sda
dd if=2019_03_02_rpi3_13fa200.bin of=/dev/sda bs=4MiB
Then I followed the rest of the instructions on your video... I still get the same PHY auto negotiation error on boot up :/
Just do `dd if=2019_03_02_rpi3_13fa200.bin of=/dev/sda bs=4MiB`, then check the SD card can boot up or not.

The rest of the instructions on the video may make the SD card unbootable if you make mistakes.

PS:
`zcat 2019_03_02_rpi3_13fa200.bin.gz | sudo dd of=/dev/sda bs=4MiB status=progress` used to flash the compressed image directly to the SD card. So you don't need to use gunzip command to extract 2019_03_02_rpi3_13fa200.bin.gz.

Didn’t work, I still get the same issue :(

I’m using USB boot, could it be that usb boot is not compatible?

Also, if possible, can you please try re-uploading the image to github (or any other service really)? Maybe the image on github got corrupted or something.

I did not enable USB boot. not sure.

The image is ok, please check this: https://github.com/brobwind/pie-device- ... y/issues/1

I’ve already tried etcher, same issue.

I’ll try flashing it into the microSD card instead of using USB boot. This’ll take some time tho because I only have 1 microSD card with raspbian installed on it, hence why I’m using USB boot for anything else. I’ll create an image of my raspbian installation as a backup, then I’ll flash the .bin android image to the microSD card and try my luck.

Fingers crossed

Update:

It worked perfectly on the microSD card!

The issue is that i need the microSD card for raspbian (don’t want to run raspbian using usb boot since it’s my main OS and I want something more low-profile, hence why i need the microSD card for it)

If you don’t mind, can you please get it to support usb boot?

I feel a bit embarrassed asking this since I'm guessing it's a rather simple matter. But how would I go about rooting it? Basically I'd just want to do so to get the open gapps package on there. Or more specifically for the play store.

I would very much like to test the compiled image, however the download link does not work.
The download starts, but not a single byte of data downloads, and after some hour if fails, I re-try again, but nothing downloads.

Is there some alternative location for the file where I can download it from.
It's this source which I'm thinking about https://www.brobwind.com

Looks like I finally got the download to start, but I only get a few kilobytes per second so it will take like 24 hours or so.
Seem like the server is hosted in China and I'm in Northern Europe.

Would be nice to have a mirror somewhere so it could be downloaded in at least less than a minute.

The image is eng build, you already have root access.

You can download it from github.com: https://github.com/brobwind/pie-device- ... pi3-binary

Since this image did not include any apps like Google play store, I downloaded Play store from apkmirror and installed it.
However, there is no shortcut installed on the desktop and there is no "app drawer" to find it in so I see no way to start the store.

Any ideas?

I’ve installed it on a MicroSD card and it worked, but whenever i try to install it on another flash stick and use usb boot, it doesn’t work and i get the error I’ve already posted above.

Can you please fix it to work on usb boot?

I only have one microSD card and i need it for raspbian.

Hi!
I have successfully installed your Android Pie on my Raspberry Pi 3B.
Anyway, you said that this ROM already has root access: I installed some root-checkers and some apps that require rooting, but they cannot detect that root access is active.
Can you tell me more about it?
Thank you!

Thanks for this build!

I do notice a lot of issues with the settings app though. Looking at storage space causes force close and going into timezone settings causes force close etc.
Anyone else experience this?

It's a eng build, it doesn't need root app. Why do you install these apps?

It doesn't have such problems. Which image do you installed? I checked with 2019_03_02_rpi3_13fa200.bin.gz.
