Installing Android and interfacing a CSI Camera in RPi3

Mon Feb 20, 2017 3:44 am

I am trying to install android 7 on RPi 3B. I could succeed partially to install the OS. I have also observed that the android play store is not letting us download any apps. However, we can access internet in the browser.

The major isse has been with the camera. When a CSI camera is connected to RPi, no camera APK is working fine on it. When I try to launch the APK, either the APK crashes or the system reboots. I am guessing that android does not have drivers for the CSI-2 cameras. But, I'm not sure about that. What is the best way that I can bring up the camera on Android?

Have you tried a USB camera?
