Is there a bare metal arduino-like environment?

Thu Apr 12, 2018 10:46 pm

I know there is a system available to compile and run arduino-like sketches on the Pi under Raspbian, but is it possible to run similar sketches on the Pi without a multitasking O/S, just the sketch and some boot code and appropriate arduino-like libraries pre-linked?

(Just asking out of interest, don't have an application for this quite yet)

regards

It's better than Arduino.
And if you want, it is multitasking and multicore ;)

Only problem is it takes about 2 seconds to boot
If you use Zero's you don't even need a SD card for code testing 8-)
