SD /WIFI question

Fri Oct 20, 2017 3:59 am

Okay just trying to get the WIFI working on baremetal and looking at the new SD driver and reading the comments
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/ ... /bcm2835.c

Now I knew there were 2 SD controllers but I thought the ARM had one the GPU the other for it's initial loading.
I get the bit why they suggest moving the wifi for performance but it left me wondering.

1.) Which one of these does the GPU use for it's loading ?
2.) The GPU at load can obviously read FAT32 what happens to the FAT reader code on the GPU after start up is it just overwritten?
3.) There is a comment /* Limit fifo usage due to silicon bug */, anyone know what the bug with the SD fifo is?

I have never seen detail on this stuff.
