Screen size setting

Sat Sep 17, 2016 11:45 am

Hello!

I am trying to know bare metal programming in assembly. The goal is graphical routines, but I already hit the wall with change the resolution of the screen. If you have some time please spend some time on my code to see why it stops before it sets the screensize.
Thank you in advance!

I think it has to do with the resolution you use. Sometimes the GPU doesn't accept a specific resolution.
I use 1920x1080 which works fine. You could also try 640x480 to test the code. If this works, it's probably an unsupported resolution.
I compared it with code I have running fine, and I don't see much fundamental difference. ;)

[SOLVED] Screen size setting

Thank you for spending some time on my code. I replaced my mailbox routin to Alex Chadwick's routin and it seems to work fine. Now I can continue to debug the other routins, because I have seen something on the screen.
