Windows PXE server booting RPi3

Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:33 pm

Hi,

Has anyone got instructions on how to set up a PXE server on Windows that can NetBoot a Pi 3?

I’ve found a piece of software called Serva from Vercot that looks hopeful but there’s no information on setting up Pi images.

I’d like to use Ultibo to do some bare metal programming and net boot seemed a good way of avoiding the sad card swapping all the time.

Cheers

Gareth

RPF / RPT offer a Linux Solution:

The information is out there....you just have to let it in.

My other Linux machines are a ChromeBox & Intel CoreDuo Desktop

I have gotten Open TFTP MultiThreaded Server to work on WIndows 10. I don't recall that it was too difficult. Some ini file settings, restart the service, blah, blah, etc. You might try that.

I came across with Tftpd64 is a free, open source IPv6 ready application.
There is a PXE test http://pxes.sourceforge.net/howtos/ms_only_environment/
