Wifi driver croaks

Fri Oct 06, 2017 2:57 pm

I'm using rpi-4.13.y kernel plus raspberrypi-updated firmware (without kernel update).

Now Wifi connects fine on startup but we've got a couple of alternative wifi networks at work - If you connect to another one and give the correct network password, fine, maybe it works. If you give the WRONG one the driver fails. I start getting this at DMESG:

At this point I have to reboot to get the wifi to recover. Any ideas on this? Power management is off.

Hi Ollittm,
does your problem persists?

I'm unable to reproduce this issue with a Raspberry Pi Zero W and mainline 4.14-rc7.

Please provide more information:
Do you use wpa_supplicant?
How do you trigger the network change?
Could you try rpi-4.14?
