Mon Oct 02, 2017 11:01 pm

So i just recently build my kernel base on the official site local building and somehow after i reboot i get this error in boot

raspberrypi-firmware soc: firware:Request 0x00030043 returned status 0x80000001
brcmexp-gpio soc : expgpio:failed to get GPIO 0 config (-22)

and this goes on until i goes to GPIO 7 then just starts up. im i supposed to do something about this???

i search though what it meant and i saw this guys post but i dont understand what he meant and how he solved his problem:

If the solution is the same as his, you need to update the actual firmware files. rpi-update is the tool that can do it for you, or you can download the files yourself:

Well im not entire sure about having the same solution as his, though base on his post the error he gets is same as mine when booting.
about rpi-update, i used that command but it says i already have the newer version but still.

PS: im a complete newbie in raspi and just started, so i dont really understand how to update the and what you mean by downloading it. Sorry :(

Am i supposed to download everything in there and replace the once inside the sd card?

Try this:

Code: Select all

sudo rm /boot/.firmware_revision
sudo SKIP_KERNEL=1 rpi-update
sudo reboot
