trying to use local time from a kernel driver in the RP2

Sun Sep 17, 2017 11:57 am

Hi all,

I am trying to use the local time from a kernel driver in the RP2. So far I started playing with the timer registers (section 4.11 at https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... rev3.4.pdf ) using devmem. When I enabled the interrupt and then enabled the timer I got lot of unexpected IRQ trap at vector 00 message so I assumed that is because I have not irq handler registered yet.

So I moved to create my driver and I made the same setup that I did using devmem but this time I tried to register a irq handler to the interrupt 0. When I execute the module I get the same output: unexpected IRQ trap at vector 00

Is there any driver example for the BCM2836 that uses a timer interrupt so I can use it as reference point? Should I modify the device tree somehow to get the irq handled?

Thanks in advance
