Hardware acceleration on custom buildroot system.

Wed May 29, 2019 10:32 am

So I'm using a custom buildroot system, and I'm trying to get a kiosk application running with hardware acceleration.

I'm using the vc4-fkms-v3d overlay because the screen won't turn on with vc4-kms-v3d. Does this mean everything is software rendered or can hardware acceleration still be achieved?

I've tried running Xorg (working) but my SDL2 application complains it can't find GLX. Mesa is compiled with X, OpenGL, GLES and the VC4 gallium driver. Am I missing something or is this due to running vc4-fkms-v3d?

Edit: I am using the official 7" display, which is why I can't use the vc4-kms-v3d overlay.
