SDL2: SDL not configured with OpenGL/GLX

Hi,
I'm getting the following message from SDL_GetError() when CreateWindow fails:
"SDL not configured with OpenGL/GLX"
I ran configure --disable-video-opengles, but didn't help.
What's the simplest practice for porting a game to the PI 3, that already works on Windows with SDL2 openGL and on mobiles with SDL2 opengl ES?

After some research, I realized, the hardware can't do ES 3.0, or modern desktop OpenGL, so I'll just make an ES 2.0 version of the graphics for low-end HW.

Good news, the Tinker Board might support ES 3.0 (which is good for ray-traced spheres, texture stored transformation matrices and more)
