Raspbian not recognizing wlan module?

Tue Jan 20, 2015 7:16 pm

I bought this http://www.amazon.com/802-11n-150m-Wire ... nical-data wlan module a week ago to use with the pi. I first tried it with xmbc openelec which had some issues and then I tried it with raspbian and it doesn't work at all. I tried lsusb and that returns with "Illegal Instruction". With sudo there's no reply at all. Using lsmod tells me that there's no kernal driver loaded for it, so that probably is a problem. ifconfig does not list it either. The model uses rtl8188cus so this should work right? Sorry mods if this is in the wrong place. Thanks.

What was wrong with the responses to your original query?

For some reason, I see elipses instead of links. Anyway, time for google. Thanks
