Pi dies after shutdown

Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:12 am

Ok so im working on program that will detect motion in the video feed
and then upload the video to server and android application in turn but my pi keeps dying :x
I install Rasbpian with the latest NooBs
Then "apt-get upgrade and install"
I then hollow this tutorial
http://mitchtech.net/raspberry-pi-opencv/ to instal opencv (about 5 hrs)
Ive done this 4 times but every time after "sudo poweroff"
It wont boot not even a green flash?
Any advice on what might be wrong?

I presume it only fails to boot after you install that stuff? ie Works normally otherwise?

Have you tried rebooting before installing? (to make sure that the issue is actually introduced by the installation.) If not, after your initial setup, reboot it, (good time to take a backup image of the card so if it fails again you aren't starting from scratch) and then try the install again as the only thing you do between reboots.
