Emdebian on Raspberry? Want to install i386 deb

Sun Nov 17, 2013 1:22 pm

Is it possible to install Emdebian on Pi ?
My target is to install a i386 java-deb package on Raspberry. But guys said the Mutiarch is not a good solution in practical.
And any other solution available ?

What is the name of the package you are trying to install? Where did you get the package?

http://www.emdebian.org Embedded Debian Project. Though Debian mention ARM support they usually are refering to ARMv7 not the RPi's ARMv6

FYI i386 refers to Intel x86 Architecture

That being said the RPi's Raspbian Wheezy (based of Debian Wheezy) Distribution does have Java Support !
So the question is why do you have to use Emdebian ?
Pi Forum Search and Google yields answers to many questions
