What to remove to minimize Raspbian (no xserver)

what i use to strip raspbian

apt-get remove --auto-remove --purge libx11-.*
apt-get remove --auto-remove --purge task-desktop

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to say thanks to the contributors. I'm using my Pi as a stand alone security camera, and having loads of extra space to store videos and pictures is a god send.

Yeah I just wanted to say the same, some might view it as pointless but I found the information to be interesting and valuable. Thank you contributors!
