mongoDB Package

Wed Jul 10, 2013 7:38 pm

Hi,

I like to know, if there is an ready-to-use package for mongoDB@raspbian?
I know, there is an Tutorial -> https://github.com/RickP/mongopi but that handles only an old mongoDB version.

Maybe anybody has an link to an howto for the current mongoDB version?

Does anybody know about plans to include mongoDB to the standard rapsbian repository?

Thank you,
Borner.

I doubt it will be in raspbian wheezy.

If you want to see it in raspbian jessie I would suggest getting in touch with the debian mongodb maintainers and trying to find out why they have set the packages to only build on i386 and amd64.

See Appendix 4 in:

http://gradvs1.mgateway.com/download/EWDjs.pdf

I found a pre-built set of binaries for MongoDB and the above document explains how to install them - about 5 minutes and you'll be up and running with MongoDB.

Then read the rest of the EWD.js documentation above and you'll be able to develop browser-based client/server applications using Node.js and WebSockets, all from your Raspberry Pi. And furthermore, read the following to see how you can perform all the development using a ChromeBook:
