Tue May 28, 2013 2:07 pm

Why no announcement?

Is there a changelog?

I'm guessing judging by the words they have release a version of Raspbian which is probably a lot smaller than it's previous releases.
Perhaps certain packages have been removed, streamlined or packed with UPX?? :)

I was querying as I thought better to know what it is before downloading, but I have started the dowload anyways. I doubt I will get a chance to flash it and test before the weekend.

There is a new release due soon. You've found an early link to it. I'm sure there will be a blog post and links from downloads page when it's ready. (Not sure if this image is final yet).

The "shrunk" refers to the fact that the image is minimally sized, not expanded to fit a 2G sdcard, meaning you will need to run "expand rootfs" from raspi-config before use.
(I think using a 2G sdcard is not advised now, as there's almost no room to install anything).

Well I should not have wasted my time tonight as I had more important things to do, but I just spent the last hour playing with the image.

Wow, it has a nice version of weston installed on it, but the screen size seems wrong and none of the Bladerunner characters do anything, are there any demo apps for weston on the image?

Please remember this is an unreleased version of the software, and therefore may not be representative of the final version.
