config.txt framebuffer 320x240

Mon Mar 25, 2013 6:46 pm

Hello,

I made an interface to connect a custom screen via the HDMI. The screen resolution is 320x240.
The minimum resolution of HDMI is 640x480, but option

Code: Select all

framebuffer_width = 320
framebuffer_height = 240

in the /boot/config.txt file can reduce the resolution of the system.
But my problem is there is a sort of anti-aliasing applied during the up-scaling between the system 320X240 resolution and the minimun 640x480 HDMI reslution. Making the image blur, and not really exact.

Is someone know if there is a way to have a simple pixel doubling, and not a smoothing ?

Thank a lot !

I found that scaling_kernel=8 in config.txt should remove smooth upscaling, but not work correctly.

Then I submitted an other issue on the github :
