NPM packet installation

Hello
Someone managed to install NPM?
I tried follow the manual:
http://howtonode.org/introduction-to-npm
curl http://npmjs.org/install.sh | sh
but it crashes mistake that the last line of the script is something wrong.
If NPM is already installed I could try:
https://npmjs.org/package/localtunnel
