Re: Rasbian repository for audio related software packages

Sat Apr 02, 2016 9:00 am

would there be a way to have more support for music programs and distros on ARM cpus,
im making a custom computer for linux using arm hardware, and i was looking at KXstudio, and all the cool programs like ardour, and jack, and carla and cadence etc. is this possible, and how much would something like this cost, ill pay someone who can do this for me if possible, its either that or i use the intel atom cpu which i know has more support and less headache, but im looking into the arm hardware and im looking for some help.
i have a android tv box mx 8 i think, which has a arm cpu maybe theres a way i can test the programs on their before i start building and customizing the design for my linux music machine im working on.

@autostatic

Thank you for doing that, but where exactly is the file?

Your repo puts:

deb http://rpi.autostatic.com/raspbian wheezy main

into

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/autostatic-audio-raspbian.list

I changed wheezy to jessie, but an apt-get install still installs linuxsampler 1.0

I tried building ls2 on RPi3 but eventually got to:

Making all in common

There are lots of these too:

#warning libs/pbd has no implementation of strictly atomic operations for your hardware.

Reading your blog, I see you found relevant patches. Are they anywhere on your site please?

Edit:

I've since found a patch source so can now build linuxsampler 2:

Hi
I got trouble installing from this repository on my rpi3..
When I add the repo following the method here : http://rpi.autostatic.com/ I end up with many errors:

I don't know what to do from here, how to perform installation of jackd2 for example, can someone drive me please?
