Re: Do not upgrade VLC [solved]
Hi!
After update VLC doesn't open up. I have a segmentation fault error warning.
It opens only when using "vlc --reset-config --reset-plugins-cache". Is it only me?
I purged it, reinstalled ALSA and certified that pulseadio is not installed. Same issue.
Thanks!

Yup, see: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=282016#p1708241
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?

Somebody needs to remove [solved] from the header...
GitD's list of things that are not ready for prime time:
1) IPv6
2) 64 bit OSes
3) USB 3
4) Bluetooth

Re: Do not upgrade VLC [solved]
I just updated, not knowing any of this, and vlc is gone. No longer in the menus or available on command line. How do I get it back?

Re: Do not upgrade VLC [not solved]
That is exactly the OPPOSITE of what I want to do. threads marked solved should not be re-opened. new issues should get a new thread.GlowInTheDark wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 10:39 pmSomebody needs to remove [solved] from the header...
I should split this thread in two, but it's already such a chaos that I don't know where to split.
so to stop further derailment, I reluctantly lock this thread.
Please start a new thread, if someone gives me a hint where the split should be so that we split the thread in the solved part, and the place where things go off the rail, I will split, and re-open the new part.
Thanks...
