Finding Raspbian source for standard distribution

Sat Oct 19, 2019 3:46 pm

I have downloaded the standard (lite) distribution of Raspbian. I want to find the commit in git://github.com/raspberrypi/linux.git for this distribution. There are git commit codes in boot/issue.txt, and in /etc/rpi-issue.txt, but none are references in the linux kernel code. What is the best way to find the commit in the raspbian kernel code? Thanks in advance!

The git repo has tags matching the raspberrypi-kernel package version number.

The .info file, in the same distribution directory as the image zip, includes information on the kernel commit.

Ah, good file to know. That's what I needed. Thanks.
