Authentication required to mount USB

Wed Jul 03, 2019 11:23 pm

Hi I just upgraded from Stretch to Buster and now after every reboot I need to power cycle my USB Drive and Authenticate.

I didn't have to do this before, Any way to help me make it so it will auto mount? Sorry I am not great in linux.

Do you have a line in /etc/fstab describing where to mount it?
It would probably look something like:

Code: Select all

/dev/sda1	/mnt/usb	vfat	defaults	0	0
This translates as mount the /dev/sda1 device with a vfat filesystem at /mnt/usb. See 'man fstab' for the other parameters.
