Very CPU intensive though. I'll check with Simon to see how we deal wtih this stuff.

You can start with Raspbian Lite and install a X11 Desktop.
Many choices of X11 Desktops based on different Windowing managers.
A search will find how too and some images.
Nice graphics is a personal opinion too.
Find a Linux Desktop you like the look of and see if you can get it installed on a Pi.
