Communicate between raspbian

Fri May 31, 2019 7:42 am

Ho can I communicate easily and quickly between 2 or more raspbian os?
I just need to send a number in real time from one ore multiple raspbian (generally no more of 10) to one raspbian that receive that number.
All the Raspbian are conencted on the web and into the same LAN, rarely into the same wifi.

The simple answer is MQTT with Mosquitto, HiveMQ or RabbitMQ as the broker.

The publish & subscribe model works for one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one and many-to-many messaging.

Depends on how long it takes the number to be created, how busy the LAN / WLAN is, how busy each Pi is and how responsive your programs are to events.

Please remember the Pi is not a real time computer, the kernel has not been built for this and even adding the Linux RTOS additions does not make it one (its better).

Even use cases such as this one are meaningless as your situation and hardware will be totally different.

Define 'real-time' as in my case, I am currently working in blocks of three hours so the process must complete and report back within 179 minutes :o  :o

Without a lot of detail on the environment I think the response will be that you will have to test it on site and see if it is suitable for your needs...
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...

That should be almost instantaneous then.
