Remote control of raspbian trough anydesk

Thu May 09, 2019 8:52 am

Anydesk is a super remote control and it works well on raspbian too: https://anydesk.com/it/downloads/raspberry-pi
I am sorry that it is not listed here:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio.../README.md

Do you think that this is possible to install it from cli, if yes, how?

RealVNC is offered by the Raspberry Pi Foundation as the developers of RealVNC compiled a version specifically tailored to Raspbian Operating System running on all versions of Raspberry Pi SBC.

Does AnyDesk run on a RPi Zero ??

Ok, but realvnc needs to configure firewall, anydesk not.
Pus anydesk cost a lot more: https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/pricing/ 36€ monthly for each device against about 20€ monthly for infinite devices of anydesk.

Will AnyDesk run on ALL models of Raspberry Pi SBC ? or have AnyDesk decided to cherry-pick what models supported.

RealVNC is FREE for non-commercial use "Limited to 5 remote computers
and 3 users"

Anydesk answered right now to me in email that they support raspberry pi 3 officially and others are in beta.

So only support a single model, that is really helpful, so if someone wants to use AnyDesk they need to go and buy Raspberry Pi model 3B.

Obviously like TeamViewer why it is not mentioned in the Raspberry Pi Foundation Help Section.

I will keep recommending RealVNC and like the Raspberry Pi Foundation based in Cambridge UK.

Hi,

RealVNC supports cloud connections, which lets you easily establish connections to your server device provided it has internet access and is signed into your RealVNC account. No special firewall or router settings should be needed. (see https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/docs/faq/cloud.html for further information)
