SDL2 .deb package not in repo (2019/04/10)

Wed Apr 10, 2019 11:39 am

I have just done an "apt-get upgrade" on a clean Raspbian Stretch sd-image

Code: Select all

$ dpkg -l |grep libsdl2
ii libsdl2-2.0-0:armhf 2.0.5+dfsg1-2+rpt1 armhf Simple DirectMedia Layer
How come this .deb package is not in the repo? there is something close, but that is not what is installed (and notice the date)?

Code: Select all

libsdl2-2.0-0_2.0.5+dfsg1-2_armhf.deb	07-Jan-2017 10:08	307K
If it is installed in the repo, where is it and how come it is not in:

Code: Select all

raspbian/pool/main/libs/libsdl2/
Cheers

Paul

BTW can anyone tell me what the +rpt part of package name is, I have only seen +rpi (raspberrypi specific patches) up until now.

That's package with mods made by Raspberry Pi Trading.

thanks for the link. I checked that server, but only main and not ui.

can I presume that +rpt builds are also (only) coming from ui on the archive server (or is it just the archive server in general)?

thanks again by the way

Cheers

Paul

Originally, UI was added as a way to keep UI mods separate, for people who wanted to use stock LXDE. That didn't really work out out and ui and main have no real meaning.

We should probably remove ui and use main for everything.

Return to “Raspbian”
