upstream qpdfview

Mon Jul 09, 2018 9:33 am

Switched to archlinuxarm aarch64 to be surprised that qpdfview looks different there.
https://launchpad.net/qpdfview seems dead, but it'd be nice to have those Raspbian changes upstream.

How can a still developed package be dead ??

Raspbian mainly follows Debian ARMHF packages:

https://packages.debian.org/stretch/qpdfview

The Community Package in ARCH was only release June 2018:

https://archlinuxarm.org/packages/aarch64/qpdfview

Even Debian Testing does not offer latest release !!
The information is out there....you just have to let it in.

My other Linux machine is a ChromeBox

Latest (beta) release was in 2016, that's why I have said it seemed dead, and also, more importantly, you might have misunderstood so I'll repeat myself, the qpdfview program doesn't look like the one found in Raspbian, I guess the Foundation modified the source code but didn't submit the changes upstream, so the upstream version remains unchanged, and so the changes don't benefit every qpdfview user, just those using Raspbian, which might even be its main userbase, who knows? but that isn't ..right?
