2018-3-13 Patch Notes Questions

Thu Apr 26, 2018 2:51 pm

On the release / patch notes. It states that the WiFi Firmware was updated. So what is new regarding it? Increased range? Reception Boost? Stronger and stable WiFi connection? Etc.

Also, regarding the updated FlashPlayer, specifically PepperFlash. Is it the flash player used on Chromium or other browser?

Thank you in advance.

It is a broad on specific firmware update iirc. A few fixes to stabilise the WiFi, to fix problems seen by users. Perhaps some other "stability, security & optimisation's " too.
There is a thead asking people to test some WiFi firmware, details will be in there.

Part of the upgrade is to support 5GHz wifi, it certainly made my new 3B+ seem a lot faster. :D

That's because ethernet 3B+ has 5GHz WiFi so the driver already supported it.
(It just uses different firmware that wasn't in older versions).
