How to disable timesyncd

Fri Apr 20, 2018 3:51 am

timesyncd apparently replaces ntpd in stretch. I prefer chrony, but the chrony installation did not disable timesyncd, so I need to figure out how to disable it.

This https://digitalbarbedwire.com/2015/05/1 ... timesyncd/ tells you how to replace timesyncd with ntpd. You can probably use the first part to get your system to a point where it's easy to install chrony.

On my Raspbian systems I replaced timesyncd with plain old ntpd.
