AD Controller

Sat Dec 16, 2017 11:14 am

Hey All,

I'm trying to set up an AD Controller, like in here: https://youtu.be/Wt9TA7FsGQE. According to the video, my /etc/resolv.conf should look like this:

Code: Select all

search home.local
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 8.8.8.8

But i only managed to achieve this:

Code: Select all

# Generated by resolvconf
domain home.local
nameserver 127.0.0.1

My /etc/resolv.conf segment:

Code: Select all

interface eth0
static ip_address=192.168.1.2/24
static routers=192.168.1.1
static domain_name_servers=127.0.0.1 8.8.8.8
static domain_search=home.local
static domain_name=home.local

I'm on Raspbian Stretch. What am i doing wrong?

EDIT:
I found out that 127.0.0.1 in static domain_name_servers is ignored. So currently i set it like this:

Code: Select all

static domain_name_servers=192.168.1.2 8.8.8.8

But is there a way to use 127.0.0.1?

Also, i removed static domain_name=home.local, and now my /etc/resolv.conf looks almost ok. The only thing is how to get 127.0.0.1 in there.

Return to “Raspbian”
