WD My Passport Ultra 1TB
Anker 4 port hub
Raspbian Stretch with today's updates (9/9/17)

Auto-mount works and I can read files on the drive
When I attempt to create a file I immediately get Read Only File System message in Raspbian Stretch. I can create a file on the drive in exactly the same place (sub-directory) in Raspbian Jessie. There is no reason to think there is any problem with the file system of my NTFS formatted drive.

This drive and the Anker hub have always worked in Raspbian Jessie and still work In Raspbian Jessie
I can write to USB memory sticks in Raspbian Stretch

Help !

The system might not have the files for writing to NTFS partitions installed.

Try this in terminal:

sudo apt-get install ntfs-3g

and install both ntfs-3g and all its dependencies.

Then reboot your system, and attempt to open the NTFS drive for write access. You should now be able to write to the NTFS drive.

You are right of course. But I never needed to install it in Raspbian Jessie (of which I have done over 50 installs !) - so I am adding it to my installation script. Thanks for spotting it.
