Kodi won't recognize controller

Sun Mar 26, 2017 9:19 pm

Hi I recently installed Kodi on raspbian jessie and I cannot get Kodi to see the wired xbox 360 controller. I previously used the controller with kodi on a retropie install. Any help would be appreciated.
cat /proc/bus/input/devices shows the controller.

With only that information is difficult to check your problem, but you will need Kodi 17 for xbox 360 controllers to work. RetroPie's Kodi support that.
PS: Don't know how you installed Kodi 17 on Raspbian, but if you didn't through RetroPie, you may need to install te binary addon for joystick support:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install kodi-peripheral-joystick
You can take a look of additional packages available by doing:

Code: Select all

apt-cache search kodi
And install what you want

Thanks man, I just got a gamepad and was struggling to get it working with Kodi, finally got it to work thanks to your post.
