HDMI modes broken after apt-get upgrade

Mon Sep 17, 2012 9:16 pm

Hello,
After doing an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade (17.09.2012) most of the HDMI modes seem not to work as expected.

Symtoms:
Whatever hdmi mode and hdmi group selected in the config.txt the hdmi output mode is just 640x480 or it is 1600x1200.

Regards,
Peter

Will need more information.
zip up and attach your edid.dat:

Code: Select all

/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -d edid.dat
and tell me which groups/modes you have tried.

Well, DMT mode=24 isn't reported as supported by your display.

You can add:
hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080

if you believe it really is supported.

Code: Select all

Well, I tried a more common mode
DMT mode 16 which is 1024x768 @ 60 Hz which leaves me with a black screen after reboot

Thank you for your patience,
Peter
