At the moment wireless networking is a bit of a pain. However, we are working on a new release which will include wpa-supplicant and associated code which should make things a lot easier to get working.
I'm not sure whether its installed by default on the current release, but you can easily install it yourself as necessary. (sudo apt-get install wpa-supplicant I think!)
