Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse conflict

Fri May 20, 2016 12:13 pm

I am new to Raspberry Pi and this forum. Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I am using a Pi 3 with Raspbian. Software is all up to date (update and upgrade run each day).

I have a Logitech K380 BT keyboard and a Logitech m557 BT mouse. The keyboard works fine until I connect the mouse. The mouse works fine but the keyboard becomes laggy and every few keystrokes just repeats a keystroke until another few key strokes are made. It is unusuable. My USB mouse does not cause this problem, it is only the BT mouse.

Is this a known issue?

Is it likely related to Raspbian's BT driver (ie potentially fixed at some point in the future), the Pi 3's on board bluetooth or the Logitech mouse/keyboard? Obviously the latter two mean I'm out of luck.
Regards,

John.

If you are also using the onboard WiFi then yes, a known issue. Workaround is to use a USB dongle.

See my thread here.

Otherwise try browsing the troubleshooting forum, lots of pi3 BT issues there. Also recall someone else posting about Logitech, try a search there.
Daily driver: Pi3B, 64GB Samsung Evo+ @100MHz, DVB-T, onboard WiFi for internet, BT/USB dongle for KB/mouse, 250GB HDD via USB for media, Raspbian Jessie Lite with Openbox desktop.
Museum: Pi B

Thanks Dukla2000. I am using wifi. I'll use Ethernet. I appreciate the info.
