Bad way to remove Sound from HDMI!

Sat Aug 18, 2012 5:18 am

I've done this twice and so far a re-install of Raspbian was the fix, loosing all my data and settings.

first I installed 'LXmusic'

then I copied about 2GB of mp3 onto the SD 16GB card into a 'My Music' directory on the Desktop,

Then foolishly, *LOL*, I set LXMusic's Playlist play to one of the sub directorys full of mp3. After a few hours it started misbehaving , strobing the audio.

Rebooting, did the same and then it went very very quiet !

I doubt if there is fix other than a different LX audio player ? Any ideas on that ?

A sadder and wiser ( *LOL* )

I am using Debian squeeze and last night during a long power outage I played music for 5+ hours on a Motorola lapdock.
I have two separate MP3 folders in the pi directory and all are marked on the playlist and the only time I have the strobing problem is if I select a song to play and hit the enter key rather than clicking it with the touch-pad buttons or the mouse buttons.
This usually goes away if I shutdown lxmusic and restart LXDE.
I have not tried it on raspian but I will this weekend if I get time.
If you are more worried about ,spelling, punctuation or grammar you have probably already missed the point so please just move on.
