Minimal image broken or weird SD card issue?

Fri May 13, 2016 6:43 am

I've just installed a Pi2 with the latest minimal raspbian image. Updated software plus firmware and then went about installing software when the problems started:

Code: Select all

[email protected]:~/vzlogger $ sudo apt-get install cmake
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  ax25-node libax25 libc-ares2 libfile-copy-recursive-perl libv8-3.14.5 openbsd-inetd update-inetd
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:
  cmake-data libarchive13 liblzo2-2
Suggested packages:
  codeblocks eclipse ninja-build lrzip
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  cmake cmake-data libarchive13 liblzo2-2
0 upgraded, 4 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

After this operation, 15.1 MB of additional disk space will be used.

-bash: ls: command not found

[email protected]:~ $ shutdown -rF now
Code should not be reached 'Unhandled option' at ../src/systemctl/systemctl.c:6316, function shutdown_parse_argv(). Aborting.

[email protected]:~ $ shutdown -r now
Failed to execute operation: The name org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1 was not provided by any .service files
Must be root.
Now, every time the apt-get error occurs, no more shell commands work- only a reboot. If I fix the dpkg error using force it installs fine but a similar error will appear when installing the next package- again disabling the shell commands. The error messages on shutdown look _very_ strange to me. I've rebootet after touching /forcefsck, no change.

Is it possible that these are issues are anyway connected to the minimal image? If SD card what else could I do to diagnose?
