Question About Desktop

Sun Apr 17, 2016 10:46 pm

When I install Raspbian using Noobs should I have more than just the wastebasket on the desktop? Because in the books I have there are more than that. This won't have bothered me normally but I can't find the Wifi-Config.

Your books are very old. There is only wastebasket on the desktop now. There are several programs including WIFI/Network config in the menu bar. Right click on the network icon.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

Do a screenshot.. This is Raspbian Jessie (just looks different then yours) see the arrows? (your bar may be on top).

Also, what pi do you have ? Only pi3 has built in wifi. Otherwise, you will need to obtain a wifi dongle or use ethernet.

Sorry it is not in the [Menu] It's on the right side of the task bar next to the volume control / clock. The blue 'wave' icon though it seems like the icon was different before I configured my WIFI (2 computer icon)? Right click on the icon.
